    May 25-27, the three-day eleventh China Biological Industry Congress and the third "China Light Valley" International Life and Health Industry Expo successfully closed!

   The conference is co-sponsored by Hubei Provincial People's Government and China Bioengineering Society. The theme is "Developing Bio-economy to Help Healthy China".

    Sang Guowei, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Eleventh National People's Congress, announced the opening of the conference.

    Wang Xiaodong, Vice Secretary of Hubei Provincial Committee and Governor of Hubei Province, Lin Nianxiu, Vice Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, Wang Huisheng, Chairman of the State Development and Investment Group Limited, and Gao Fu, member of the Chinese Academy of Bioengineering, attended the event and delivered a speech.

    As the largest, highest-level and most influential brand event in China's biotechnology industry, the conference attracted more than 300 leading enterprises from home and abroad to demonstrate the latest achievements in the field of life and health. Delegations from about 30 countries, including the United States, Britain, Japan and South Korea, and 400 academicians, including 13 academicians of the two academies, were also invited to attend the conference. The alliance was initiated by Huada Gene, jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Economy of Latvia, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Laos, the International Saline-alkali Plant Research Institute of the United Arab Emirates, the China International Economic Exchange Center, the Wuhan East Lake New Technology Development Zone, the Shenzhen International Exchange and Cooperation Foundation, the Shenzhen Gene Industry-University-Research and Investment Union, and the Shenzhen National Gene Bank. To establish and jointly sign "the consensus on the cooperation of the life science and technology promotion alliance".

    At the high-level forum, Academician Gao Fu, Nobel Prize laureate K. Barry Sharpless, Academician Sang Guowei, Academician Chen Kaixian, Director of the National Health and Family Planning Commission's Medical and Health Science and Technology Development Research Center, Li Qing, former President of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Zeng Heli, President of Sanofi Global Research and Development (Elias Zerhouni), Wang Junzhi, Chief Scientist of China Food and Drug Inspection Institute, Zhang Mingdong, Chief Medical Officer of Boston Science Greater China, and Zhou Xiang, CEO of Shanghai Lianyou Intelligent Medical Technology Co., Ltd. gave keynote speeches respectively.

    At the signing press conference of Hubei bio-industry and Wuhan National Bio-industry Base, Donghu High-tech Zone issued "Several Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Life and Health Industries" and a series of policies, clarified the six major development directions of life and health industries in the high-tech zone, and proposed that the total income of life and health industry should exceed 300 billion yuan by 2020. By 2025, the total income of the life and health industry will exceed 800 billion yuan, and a life and health industrial park with "leading domestic, first-class Asian and world-renowned" and "four new economies" of the global life and health industry will be built.

    There are also a number of major projects signed with the "China Optical Valley" project, Academician Martin gynecological cancer diagnosis and treatment Innovation Center project, joint medical Wuhan headquarters base project, Optical Valley Yinli Intelligent Health Port project and other 26 life and health industry contract projects, involving a total investment of 26 billion yuan.

    In order to promote the construction of "Medicine Valley", Wuhan Guanggu Financial Holding Group Co., Ltd. guided the establishment of a 5 billion yuan Wuhan Guanggu Life and Health Industry Fund.

    Karl Barry Sharpless, Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry, Zeng He-li, President of Sanofi Global Research and Development, Former President of National Institutes of Health, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, President of the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University, Zhang Yingze, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor of Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Obstetrics and Gynecology of Tongji Hospital Department director Martin and other 6 people were appointed senior advisers to Optics Valley bio city.
